Ethiopia - Dorze tribal village near Arba Minch

On the way to Arba Minch, we saw this group busily constructing a new hut
This kid is neither sick nor starving. The flies in this area are so aggressive that many kids just give up trying to brush them off. I, on the other hand, was batting the little monsters around like crazy.
The Dorze tribe is famous for their weaving skills. Even their fences are woven.
There used to be elephants in this region. Because of this, traditional Dorze huts are still built in the shape of an elephants head--notice the slats representing the eyes and how the overhang above the door represents the beginning of the trunk.
Inside the hut, different rooms and compartments accessible from the center living area
Pascal will never live down this unusual stretching action
From inside the hut looking out
A much smaller hut next to the main one is home for a Dorze teenager--looks like some things are universal no matter where in the world you go.
This woman prepares some kind of cheesy substance
