View of the Pyramids from the rooftop of the stables (where we rented our smelly camels). Can you see the Sphinx?
I could barely take pictures from camel back, so I can only imagine how annoying it must be to shoot a machine gun from the back of one!
Do you see the man in blue on the bottom left? The Pyramids are just HUGE!
We went to the Pyramids at mid-day, which is the worst possible time for pictures (and for the heat!) but our schedule was tight. Besides, it's already one of the most photographed monuments in the world!
Notice how well the camel blends into the rock and sand? I'm sure Darwin would have something to say about that.
They used to let people climb the Pyramids, which is totally awesome! Unfortunately, too many people died every year in the attempt so now it's forbidden. Damn!
See how there's smooth polished stone at the top instead of jagged blocks? Both Pyramids used to have smooth stone going all the way down.
I don't know what this camel's deal was, but he was braying his head off
